This system operates on electrochemical processes, which electrochemically dissolves metal (from the anode) in to liquid form, reacting this with Hydroxyl Ion (from the cathode) to form hydroxide. Highly charged cations destabilize any colloidal particles by the formation of polyvalent polyhydroxide complexes. This complexes have high absorption properties, forming aggregates with pollutants. Evolution of hydrogen gas aids in mixing and hence flocculation. Once the floc is generated the electrolytic gas creates a flotation effect removing the pollutants to the floc-foam layer at the liquid surface in the form of scum. This is obviously due to the fact that at the time of dissociation oxygen occurs in atomic form which has a particular powerful oxidizing effect on the organic pollutants. The hydrogen liberated by the electrolysis forms sulphurous and hypochlorous acids with the inorganic constituents of the sewage which kill of the germs.
In addition Brine solution is electrolyzed which generates highly potent basic radicals Sodium Hypochlorite which is dosed in collection tank of raw water where it gets mixed with raw water and oxidize the organic and works as an electrolyte in the cell and as well as in treated water as disinfectant.
